The Neon has been one of the premier vehicles of the Dodge line for over ten years. It is an important car and the 2004 model is no exception. As time has gone by several things can be said about the Dodge Neon series: including the strong reaction most buyers have towards their car. The 4-cylinder engine is at the core of the strong emotions, it is reliable for its class and delivers a huge amount of torque.

The Neon SE is equipped with a Chrysler 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine that utilizes 16 valves. The engine is mated to a Chrysler 5-speed Transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Dodge.
