Insight Into the Ford Mustang for 2004

Ford Mustang

Ford has been blessed with many award-winning designs, including the Ford Mustang of 2004. There are four trim levels to the Mustang, including Base, GT, Mach I, and SVT Cobra. The Mach I version is one of the more popular options. Like in 2003 the popular 4.6 liter has made this a popular choice for coupe buyers across the country.

Ford Mustang Engine Specs

Ford Mustang Engine Specs: The Mustang Mach I comes outfitted with a 4.6 liter, 8-cylinder motor that uses 32 valves. The engine, manufactured by Ford, is teamed up with a Ford 4-speed transmission. This arrangement has demonstrated to be an effective style for Ford.

The Mustang uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The car uses coil and coil springs front and rear respectively.

Vehicle Statistics

The Mustang is 183.20 inches long, 73.10 inches wide, and 53.20 inches high. It has a wheelbase of 101.30 inches. It is able to seat 4 comfortably.

The listed retail price in 2004 (MSRP) was $28,015, with an invoice cost of $25,583. This price is above average of the industry average price for a two-door Coupe.

Fuel Efficiency

The 2004 Mustang's traditional fuel system runs on gas. The fuel is regulated electronically, with a fuel-injected multi-port fuel injection style of design. The fuel tank holds 15.70 gallons.

The Mustang Mach I received a miles-per-gallon rating of 17 - 18 in-city driving and 23 - 25 when it came to long-distance. Being a gas-powered non-green car, this was exceptional.

We Think...

The 2004 model year was telling year for the Ford Mustang. The introduction of several trim levels (along with the Mach I version) meant that buyers had several options to choose from..
