When you think of the "Chevrolet Monte Carlo" what will usually come to mind for Chevrolet enthusiasts is quality, stability and lots of history. The Monte Carlo has been one of the premier vehicles of the Chevrolet line for over ten years. It is an important car and the 2007 model is no exception. The Chevrolet Monte Carlo falls into the sedan for the family category.

2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS Specs

The Monte Carlo LS is equipped with a General Motors 3.5 liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 12 valves. The engine is mated to a General Motors 4-speed Transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Chevrolet.

Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The Monte Carlo comes equipped with power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The fuel system for the 2007 Monte Carlo is a SFI design, using FLEX fuel. The fuel flow is controlled by a electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The fuel capacity of the fuel tank is 17.00 gallons.

The dimensions of the Monte Carlo LS are 72.90 inches wide by 196.70 inches long. It sits 55.80 inches off the ground. It seats a standard five passengers, with 2 doors. The wheelbase of 110.50 allows for extra leg room for the rear passengers.

A powertrain guarantee is provided (100,000 miles/60 months), and a 36,000 mile, 36 month guarantee also comes with the Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This is average compared to the rest of the car market.

The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $21,015 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of $19,859. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 2-door Sedan.

MPG Ratings

The 2007 Monte Carlo gets 31 miles/gallon on the highway and only 21 in the city. This is below average for a sedan car.
