Our Review of the 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LT

The Monte Carlo LT is equipped with a General Motors 3.5 liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 12 valves. The engine is mated to a General Motors 4-speed Transaxle. This configuration has proven to be a successful design for Chevrolet.
The Monte Carlo uses power-assisted brakes, with Non-ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The car uses coil and coil springs front and rear respectively.
Monte Carlo LT Statistics
The Monte Carlo is 196.70 inches long, 72.90 inches wide, and 55.80 inches high. It has a wheelbase of 110.50 inches. It is able to seat 5 comfortably.
A powertrain warranty is provided (36,000 miles/36 months), and a 36,000 mile, 36 month guarantee also comes with the Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $23,430 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of $22,141. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 2-door Coupe.
Fuel Efficiency
The 2006 Monte Carlo's traditional fuel system runs on gas. The fuel is regulated electronically, with a fuel-injected multi-port fuel injection (MFI) style of design. The fuel tank holds 17.00 gallons.
The 2006 Monte Carlo gets 28 miles/gallon on the highway and only 20 in the city. This is exceptional for a coupe car.
Conclusion
The 2005 model began the promise of the Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The 2006 expanded on this success and has proven to be a strong seller in most markets. Even with strong competition from other manufacturers Chevrolet hopes that the Monte Carlo LT will continue to be a profitable vehicle.
