First Impressions of the Chevrolet Monte Carlo for 1995

Chevrolet has been blessed with many award-winning designs, including the Chevrolet Monte Carlo of 1995. There are two trim levels to the Monte Carlo, including Z34 and LS. The LS version is one of the more popular options. Like in 1994 the popular 3.1 liter Chevrolet has made this a popular choice for coupe buyers across the country.

Chevrolet Monte Carlo Engine Specs

The Monte Carlo LS is equipped with a General Motors 3.1 liter six-cylinder engine that utilizes 12 valves. The Chevrolet engine is mated to a General Motors 4-speed Transaxle. This is a long-standing favorite for buyers in the Coupe arena.

The Monte Carlo uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are drum. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The car uses coil and coil springs front and rear respectively.

Vehicle Statistics

The dimensions of the Monte Carlo LS are 72.50 inches wide by 200.70 inches long. It sits a comfortable 53.80 inches off the ground. It seats a standard five passengers, with 2 doors. The wheelbase of 107.50 allows for limited leg room for the backseat passengers.

The listed retail price in 1995 (MSRP) was $18,970, with an invoice cost of an industry-low price. This price is above average of the industry average price for a two-door Coupe.

Fuel Efficiency

The fuel system for the 1995 Monte Carlo is a SFI design, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel flow is regulated by a electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The storage capacity of the fuel tank is 17.10 gallons.

The Monte Carlo LS received a miles-per-gallon rating of seventeen in-city driving and twenty six when it came to long-distance. Being a gas-powered non-green car, this was exceptional.

Conclusion

There are several reasons why the Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS sold well in 1995. Mainly the increase in availability and a marked improvement in quality meant the buying public was more apt to choose a Chevrolet, specifically a Monte Carlo.
